Yesterday the enthusiasts assembled at Malden for the Club’s first inter-club match this year. The weather was not kind, it was unseasonably cold and a stiff wind was moving the arrows at least half a target width. Originally Malden had intended that we would shoot Westerns (8 dozen) but, in deference to the inclement conditions, they let us off with Nationals (6 dozen).
Nonetheless, it was an enjoyable shoot and, what is more, your Club won! Special mention should be made of John Antill (recurve), who shot 526 in a Long National, and Justin Phillips (compound), who shot 614 in the same round. Many thanks for all who made the effort to turn out.
