Although the weather was cold, with a biting northerly wind, 15 archers braved the harsh conditions armed with12 recurves and 3 bendy sticks. The gusting wind was blamed for many stray arrows and, not surprisingly, scores were quite noticeably down from last year’s competition.

Congratulations to Ruben for taking 1st place with Steve Bowie just scraping second place from his son, Sam, by 3 points - hopefully, this will not cause any domestic altercations! One of our newest members, Nick Kester, also deserves a mention for handing in a very good score for his first shoot at 50 yards.
