Once again, RPB was well represented at the Arundown Triple Worcester, and this time RPB hauled no less than six medals across the day.

For the single Worcester, Murray Hume (Gents Recurve) finished 3rd with a fantastic 280 points on his first Worcester in competition. He then followed that up in the second round with an even better 291 to give him a total for the double round of 571, only six points off the leader. The double score is also a Surrey County record.

There was only four points separating Graham Higgs (271), Phillip Tanner (269) and Steve Bowie (268) for the single round (Gents Recurve). It was Graham's first ever go at a Worcester, which makes it a great achievement finishing in 10th place out of a total of 35 archers.

In the double round, Graham and Steve were again very close, and finished the day on an excellent 6th and 7th out of 19 archers for their first ever double Worcester.

In the Juniors, Sam Bowie came 1st and 3rd for the Junior under 14's Recurve double and single rounds respectively. Again, it was his first competition Worcester so well done to Sam.

Finally in the Gents Compound, predictably, things were very VERY tight. After the single round, Justin Phillips was second with 299 (should have come down on that shot!!!), behind an excellent first ever maximum 300 shot by Sussex Junior Jamie Cole.

Then going into the second round, Justin shot a clean 300, with Jamie shooting 299 to tie both archers in 1st place for the double round, with the final triple round to go. Both archers were clean going into the final end of 5 arrows, where Justin put them away for a back-to-back maximum 300, and a triple score of 899/900. Jamie dropped a 4 to finish 898, but it was a very close and tense last end!

The results of the shoot can be found here, and photos of RPB archers can be found here.
